About: Temple B'nai Hayim has served the San Fernando Valley Jewish community since 1958, located in an historic building constructed in 1926 that once served as Van Nuys City Hall. Its spiritual leader and Cantor, "Reb Jason" van Leeuwen, is also a composer of contemporary Jewish worship music, with his "Shabbat Rocks" reaching the top of the World Music charts. Temple B'nai Hayim provides an intimate space for spiritual and emotional growth, with an award-winning Children's Center, and programming from cradle to cane.
